Visits to Canyon Europe

Canyon Europe Limited had a recent visit from a group of students from St Mary’s CBGS Belfast. The class are studying A-Level Product Design and have been learning about manufacturing and plastic processing, so a visit to Canyon was highly beneficial for the local school. They had learned some theory about the injection moulding processes, so to see it in operation helped them to understand it even further. They were also extremely interested in seeing the Product Design Department and how Canyon develops products for real life applications. There was a lot of information to be seen and for them to take in on the day. The staff of Canyon were happy to welcome the school to our manufacturing facility in Mallusk, and wish them all the very best of luck on their upcoming A-level examinations.

Canyon also hosted the NIPak's first joint packaging seminar earlier this week. There were attendees from many businesses in the Belfast area who listened to the DoENI's representative, William Dukelow, Business in the Community's Sustainability Director, Edward Wright and the Managing Director of NIPak, Simon Stringer, give presentations on packaging regulations which affect all businessses. The group closed the session with a factory tour of Canyon Europe.

Despite the majority of its products being exported, Canyon feels very much part of its community in the Greater Belfast Area and we try to make ourselves available to local schools and organisations who benefit from our knowledge and experience.
